Bonnie Rose Godin 

MIXED MEDIA ARTIST

Bonnie Godin is a Canadian artist from Ontario, living in Calgary since 2021. She has been creating art since she was old enough to hold a crayon.

​

For nearly a decade Bonnie worked as a front-line paramedic. Putting focus on her art turned out to be one of the most important ways she was able to maintain harmony in her heart during this time.

​

In 2022 she decided to pursue art professionally and expanded her skills into a variety of mediums and colours - including spray paints, oils and collage. ​ Since beginning her established artistic career, Bonnie has taken part in group art shows, sold her work in storefronts, and was invited to paint live at the Calgary Stampede.

"I love to use reflective material such as gold leaf or pearlescent inks in order to catch the sunlight in my paintings. This and other aspects of my work revolve around one universal theme: hope.

 

Even though I've seen so much pain and heartache during my time responding to 911 calls, I'm adamant about painting vibrant and joyful artwork. These bright, dreamy colours reflect my belief that all of life's hardships are mirrored by joy and fun. My biggest inspiration is keeping the light inside myself alive and encouraging the same for others."
