This painting is a diary entry spanning several months. Started with a maple leaf plucked from the earth of Bowen Island and finished on the porch of Canopy Studios - where she hangs on display now. Riddled with secrets and personal memories – from a golden locket of a friend who supported me in my healing, to a fortune cookie reading that acted as compass for my heart – this painting at its core is a story of returning to love.
